Mike McCready & Dierks Bentley headline inaugural Justice Jam, Oct 27 at Cannery Hall

Tennessee Innocence Project and Washington Innocence Project host lineup of celebrated country, rock, and pop artists in support of the wrongfully convicted.

NASHVILLE, TN – (September 8, 2026) – The Tennessee Innocence Project, in partnership with the Washington Innocence Project, today announced Justice Jam, a large-scale benefit concert uniting influential names in country, rock, gospel, and pop music in the heart of Nashville. Through powerful live performances, stories of restored hope, and a commitment to social justice, the concert will benefit the shared work to free innocent people and prevent wrongful convictions. The inaugural Justice Jam will take place on Tuesday, October 27 at Cannery Hall, 1 Cannery Row. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert runs 7-9 p.m.

“Every person we have helped free spent years, sometimes decades, paying for a crime they didn’t commit,” said Jason Gichner, executive director of Tennessee Innocence Project. “Justice Jam is about channeling the power of Nashville’s music community into real, tangible freedom for people who have run out of options. We are honored to bring this stage together with our partners at the Washington Innocence Project and to show what’s possible when artists lend their voice to justice.”

Mike McCready, lead guitarist for rock legends Pearl Jam and an organizer of Justice Jam, will co-headline the event with multiplatinum country star Dierks Bentley. Additional artists scheduled to perform include: gospel group The McCrary Sisters; Canadian country favorite Terri Clark; rising country artist Angie K; soulful singer-songwriter Jaid Joice; veteran guitarist Bobby Messano; and additional special guests to be announced.

“Music unites people, plain and simple,” said McCready. “When I had the opportunity to bring together artists around a cause in Music City, I knew we would create something special that is bigger and more impactful than any one of us can achieve alone. The work of the Washington Innocence Project and Tennessee Innocence Project is essential in a justice system in urgent need of reform. I’m glad to share the stage with these artists and organizations.” 

The concert will raise vital funds for both organizations’ work exonerating the wrongfully convicted and supporting survivors of injustice through legal advocacy, restoration services, policy work, and other post-release support.

The goal of Justice Jam is to bring people together through music and shine a light on issues of social justice, wrongful conviction, and the power of truth, justice, and restored freedom. Organizers hope that with the support of artists, philanthropists, local businesses, and corporate sponsors, Justice Jam will become a signature Nashville event that transforms lives and strengthens communities for years to come.
